96. The End of Time Itself

*Above the Earth*

 

*I’ve fallen asleep waiting for the Doctor to fix the “heating”. He wouldn’t tell me what he was really doing, so I fell asleep waiting for him. I awaken to the sound of screaming, laughing, and us plummeting towards the Earth*

 

Me: WHAT THE HELL?!

 

*I run into the room. Wilfred and Rossiter are managing Asteroid Lasers, the Doctor is driving the Vivocci spaceship like a maniac, and Jocelyn and Mayisha are hanging onto some controls for dear life*

 

Me: CARE TO TELL ME WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON HERE?!

 

Doctor: WE’RE GOING TO DO SOMETHING INCREDIBLY STUPID AND RISK OUR LIVES FOR IT.

 

Me: WHAT ELSE IS NEW?!

 

Doctor: YOU’RE TURNING INTO THE MASTER WITH YOUR--

 

Me: DON’T. EVEN.

 

Mayisha: OLIVIA. GRAB ONTO SOMETHING!

 

Jocelyn: YOU’RE GOING TO GO OUT THE WINDOW!

 

Me: *grabs onto one of the controls* YOU’RE INSANE, YOU KNOW THAT?!

 

Doctor: THAT’S WHY YOU LOVE ME!

 

Me: I LOVE YOU, THETA SIGMA!

 

Doctor: I LOVE YOU, OLIVIA SMITH!

 

*When we’re nearly about to crash, the Doctor pulls up*

 

Me: YOU’RE A CRAZY MANIAC!

 

Doctor: I KNOW! *grabs the gun and, before any of us can stop him, jumps out the hatch*

 

Me: WHAT THE HELL?!!?! *runs to the hatch and jumps out after him*

 

Me: WHAT AM I DOING?! *deploys parachute* Ah, that’s better.

 

*I land amazingly just to the side of the room. I see the Evil Master, the Doctor, all of the other Masters are gone except for one…*

 

*One that’s brunette -- thank God -- in a suit!*

 

Me: MASTER!

 

Master: OLIVIA!

 

Megan: OLIVIA!

 

Me: MEGAN! YOU’RE ALIVE!

 

Megan: Of course I’m alive, you idiot!

 

Me: *sees the Doctor injured* DOCTOR! *runs towards him*

 

Rassilon: *has appeared out of nowhere* *steps in front of me* ’You shall not pass!

 

Me: what the hell? Rassilon? When’d you get here?

 

Rassilon: Silence, human. *hits me with his Gauntlet*

 

Me: Oh dear. *passes out*

 

Megan, Master, and Doctor: OLIVIA.

 

Rassilon: Now, let’s finish what we started. *holds out Gauntlet*

 

Doctor: *points his gun at him*

 

Rassilon: Really, shall we be so pathetic?

 

Doctor: *whirls around, towards the Evil Master* Get out of the way.

 

Evil Master: *shakes his head, stepping to the side*

 

Doctor: *shoots the device*

 

Megan and the Master: *hugs one another to shield from the light*

 

Rassilon: You will die with us, Doctor!

 

Doctor: I know.

 

Megan: NOOOOO DOCTOR!!! *starts to run towards him, but is stopped by the Master*

 

Evil Master: Get out of the way.

 

*“Evil Master” shoots his amazing lightening bolts until Rassilon and he are gone*

 

Doctor: …I’m alive! I’m alive!

 

Megan: YOU’RE ALIVE!

 

*Megan and the Master run over to the Doctor and hug him*

 

Doctor: Oh, Olivia…!

 

Megan: You survived, Doctor.

 

Master: I knew you would.

 

Doctor: *ignores me for the time being* It’s all thanks to you.

 

Master: The evil version of me.

 

Megan: Not so evil.

 

Master: He tried to ATTACK you.

 

Megan: I got to punch him.

 

Master: Well, you’re my one and only love, and I don’t want you to get hurt.

 

Megan: Master… There’s something I have to tell you…

 

Master: And that is…?

 

Wilfred: *from the Radiation Chamber* Um… Would you mind getting me out? *knocks…*

 

*FOUR TIMES*

 

Doctor: Y-you! Wilfred!

 

Wilfred: D’you mind getting me out of here?

 

Doctor: Oh--

 

Master: No, Wilfred. That’ll be my job.

 

Wilfred: But… I just saw you… Go into the light with that other man… And you had time to dye your hair and change your clothing and wipe off your mascara? When did this happen?

 

Master: That was an “evil” version of me… And no, he wasn’t wearing mascara.

 

Wilfred: *mutters* Yes he was…

 

Master: If you will. Time to make things right.

 

Megan: *understands* NO, MASTER, YOU CAN!

 

Master: *smiles weakly* I can’t let the Doctor die.

 

Doctor: *understands as well* I can’t let you die either!

 

Master: Better me than you, though, eh?

 

Doctor: No. NO.

 

Megan: PLEASE! NO!

 

Wilfred: WHAT’S GOING ON?!

 

Doctor and Megan: SHUT UP!! THIS IS YOUR FAULT ANYWAY!

 

Wilfred: Okay… Jeez…

 

Me: *wakes us* Ow… My head… What the hell did Rassilon hit me with…? I think I might have a con-- *sees the Doctor and Megan in tears* Aw damn, what did I miss THIS time?

 

Master: Good, you’re awake. *reaches for the door handle* I can say my g--

 

Me: NOWHATTHEHELLAREYOUDOINGYOUCAN’TOPENTHATALLTHERADIATIONWILLKILLYOU!

 

Master: Saving your boyfriend’s life.

 

Me: But… But…

 

Doctor: You can’t! I’M the one that’s supposed to die, not you!

 

Master: Oh well. Time can be rewritten, eh? *takes another step towards the door*

 

Doctor, Megan and I: NO!

 

Master: See you on the other-- *slips in before we can stop him* Quick, Wilfred, get out!

 

Wilfred: *scrambles out*

 

Megan: *sobs* You can’t… It’s going to kill you…

 

Master: It’s worth I-- *is interrupted as the radiation kicks in*

 

*We all watch, in tears, as the Master suffers unspeakable pain. He crumbles to the floor, in a ball, shaking and screaming silently so that we can’t hear him. Wilfred watches in horror, and Megan falls to her knees sobbing*

 

*The Master is unmoving*

 

Me: He couldn’t… He can’t…

 

Doctor: *sniffles* He did.

 

*The Doctor and I burst into tears, hugging each other tightly, unable to let one another go*

 

*Mayisha and Jocelyn run in, a bit late, and see the scene before them. They immediate come over and cry as well, the five of us hugging one another in tears*

 

Megan: *whispers* Goodbye, my one and only love.

Author's Note

I literally cried during this chapter. Seriously. I wrote part of it in English class and then discussed it with Megan. She won't kill me, but she's upset.

Yes, the Master really is dead. He's not coming back, like Jocelyn. I'm sorry all Master fans. Please don't kill me. There'll be more LCCC now that this kink is out of the way...
