20. Childish Games

Hurrah for chapter twenty!

*On the way home from Seattle, Washington*

 

*On the plane. I am listening to music on my iPod, Jocelyn sitting on one side of me reading a book and Hotch on the other side, looking solemnly out the window. Morgan is listening to music with larger and chunkier headphones than mine, Megan sitting next to him, and Gideon, JJ, Jack, Prentiss, Reid and Mayisha are playing Uno*

 

Prentiss: *sighs* Such a childish game, and yet, I’m still losing.

 

Reid: Actually, 89% of popular Poker players played Uno as an adolescent.

 

Gideon: Then this means, in my next life, I’ll be a star Poker player.

 

*Everyone playing laughs*

 

JJ: *throws down her close-to-twenty cards* I’m out. Too many cards.

 

Reid: You’re not even going to try?

 

JJ: Not worth it.

 

Prentiss: *sighs as well* God, I’ve got like eighty cards here.

 

Reid: Actually, there’s less than eighty--

 

Prentiss: ENOUGH, Reid.

 

Mayisha: *is concentrating*

 

Reid: *smirks mischievously* Uno.

 

Prentiss: *gasps* You b*****d!

 

Jack: *throws down his own cards too* I’m out as well.

 

Prentiss: I’m going to… *takes her turn*

 

Mayisha: Uno.

 

Reid: Ah, competition.

 

Mayisha: I ALWAYS WIN UNO.

 

Reid: Well, your winning streak is about to end. *last card*

 

Mayisha: WHAT?!

 

Gideon: *puts down his card* Beat again…

 

Mayisha: But… But…

 

Reid: Heh, heh. *collects cards*

 

Mayisha: *is still staring at the table* But… I ALWAYS WIN!! *spazzes*

 

Reid: Well this time you-- *is attacked by Mayisha* WHOA!

 

Megan: Mayisha!

 

Mayisha: NOO I WILL NOT BE SILENCED!

 

Me: Jesus, Mushroom, it’s just a game.

 

Mayisha: IT’S A GAME OF CAT AND MOUSE!

 

Reid: Excuse me?

 

Mayisha: THIS IS THE FIRST. HE WILL TRY AND SUBDUE ME TO HIS EBIL CAUSES!

 

Reid: …Ebil?

 

Me: Don’t ask.

 

Jack: JOCELYN I LOST! *glomps Jocelyn*

 

Jocelyn: NOOO GET OFF ME!

 

*Jack attempts to snog her, but she punches him repeatedly in the face, then tazers him*

 

Prentiss: *laughs* Gideon, aren’t you going to stop this?

 

Gideon: *sighs* Hotch is there superior.

 

JJ: *is mauled by Mayisha on a rampage* HOTCH!

 

Hotchner: *snaps out of his daze* Sorry, what?

 

JJ: HOTCH, GET OVER HERE!

 

Hotchner: *stands* What’s wrong?

 

Megan: MAYISHA’S SPAZZING BECAUSE SHE LOST A GAME!

 

Mayisha: I NEVER LOSE!

 

Hotchner: Apparently you did now.

 

Mayisha: I WOULDN’T BE TALKING AARON HOTCHNER, THE BIGGEST LOSER AT

GAMES!

 

Hotchner: *gasps dramatically* I don’t ALWAYS lose at games… *turns to the others* Do I?

 

Reid: *stifles laughter* Well--

 

Hotchner: REMEMBER,ICONTROLYOURFUTUREHERE.

 

JJ: Okay, in that case, *changes to a sarcastically high voice* No, Hotch, you win every game you play~

 

Hotchner: Thank you.

 

Jack: JOCELYN I LOVE YOU! *tries to jump on Joss, but lands on Prentiss instead*

 

Prentiss: HEY, YOU BIG LUG, GET OFF ME!

 

Jack: JOCELYN, I LOVE YOU!

 

Prentiss: I’M NOT JOCELYN!

 

Jack: DON’T TRY TO-- Oh, sorry, Emily.

 

Prentiss: Don’t “sorry” me! *pushes him off*

 

Jack: *turns around* JOCELYN I--

 

JJ: *sees him coming toward her* DON’T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT!

 

Gideon: WHY IS EVERYONE YELLING?!

 

*silence*

 

Me: Just because you’re an old man--

 

Gideon: I AM NOT AN OLD MAN!

 

Me: YES YOU ARE!

 

Gideon: *is so frustrated, he throws his sandwich he was randomly eating at me*

 

Me: *hides* SANDWICH BOMBING!

 

Jocelyn: TAKE COVER!

 

*everyone ducks, except for Gideon*

 

Gideon: MWHAHAHAHAHA! *throws pieces of his sandwich at people*

 

Me: NOOO *ducks beneath a seat* HOTCH, SAVE ME!

 

Hotchner: *grabs the fruit snacks Jocelyn was randomly eating and starts throwing them at Gideon*

 

Gideon: Oh noes, fruit bullets! *falls*

 

Megan: Rejoice, the sandwich bomber has fallen!

 

Everyone: YAY!
