A Reid/Olivia conversation.

*In the hospital in Quantico*

 

*I have just come out of surgery. I’m laying in the bed. Doctor Spencer Reid enters the room. My eyes light up*

 

Me: REEEEEEEID

 

Dr. Reid: Uh, okay. How do you know me?

 

Me: LOOOOONG STORY.

 

Dr. Reid: All right. I’m here to ask you a few questions.

 

Me: You want to know why I’m not a registered citizen.

 

Dr. Reid: Y-yes, that’s exactly what I want to know.

 

Me: I’m not a registered citizen because I’m not on the ground most of the time.

 

Dr. Reid: You’re in a plane?

 

Me: …You could say that.

 

Dr. Reid: Well what would YOU call it?

 

Me: A box.

 

Dr. Reid: A… box.

 

Me: Hey, you’re the one who asked.

 

Dr. Reid: Okay…

 

Me: Hey, can I call you just Reid?

 

Dr. Reid: Can I call you just Smith?

 

Me: Sure.

 

Dr. Reid: then, great.

 

Me: Yay! I’m no longer Olivia, I’m Smith~

 

Reid: You’re usually called Olivia?

 

Me: Or Liv. But Smith is cooler.

 

Reid: Right.

 

Me: Do people call you Spence?

 

Reid: My colleague JJ does.

 

Me: Oh, right.

 

Reid: The BAU, also known as the--

 

Me: I know what the BAU is, Reid darling~

 

Reid: Ah. Anyway, we want to know why you and your friends are at the scene of every strange thing.

 

Me: Well, it’s in the job description.

 

Reid: Meaning what, exactly?

 

Me: We travel around the world and save lives.

 

Reid: *flatly* In a box.

 

Me: In a box~

 

Reid: Okay… Why do you want to do this?

 

Me: ’cause my boyfriend thinks it’s “humane”.

 

Reid: Humane?

 

Me: He wants to give back to the race he’s taken so much from.

 

Reid: You mean the humans.

 

Me: Yes, I do.

 

Reid: You speak as though he’s not a human.

 

Me: Well…

 

Reid: Who’s your boyfriend?

 

Me: the Doctor.

 

Reid: What’s his real name?

 

Me: I can’t tell you that?

 

Reid: Why?

 

Me: Names are a powerful thing.

 

Reid: You readily gave yours to me.

 

Me: I’m not the Doctor.

 

Reid: You’re confusing me…

 

Me: Yup, that’s my job.

 

Reid: You confuse people?

 

Me: You betcha.

 

Reid: All right, Smith. Your friends have been telling the same story. Sounds like you’re clean.

 

Me: Clean? As in we’re not taking drugs?

 

Reid: *winces* No, as in you’re not lying to us.

 

Me: So we’re taking drugs?

 

Reid: *winces again* I don’t know that.

 

Me: Reid, you okay?

 

Reid: *hesitantly* I’m fine, why?

 

Me: You okay?

 

Reid: *snappy* Yes.

 

Me: You don’t look so good…

 

Reid: I’ve been clean from drugs recently, and I don’t want to go back.

 

Me: Ooh. When you got trapped by Tobias…

 

Reid: How do you know about that?

 

Me: I know all…

 

Reid: *stares*

 

Me: Just kidding. You’re part of a TV show.

 

Reid: TV show?

 

Me: Yes~

 

Reid: *sits* I think we need to talk.

 

Me: *grins* I think we need to as well.
