Over and Over

Over and Over

A Poem by Allison Price
"

Somethings only repeat

"

Over and over
The same things

Time passes still no change

Each day dies as it blooms

Empty words only wound

Fools masked seem wise

Grasping the air

Life isn't fair

Over and over
The same things

Each word only stings

Take freedom with greed

Standing still as I run

Contraction of lungs

You can never let me breathe

Over and over
Never can I leave

I believe this could use a rewrite... the words want to come out, but you leave the reader quite confused... within the lines of this one:

Over the same things
Time passes the same ways
Each day dies to becoming new
Empty words with pretend actions
Fools masked as wise
Grasping the air
Life isn't fair
Over the same things
Each word only stings
Taking freedom with a greed
Stand still as I run
Contraction of lungs
Please just let me breathe
Over again and let me leave
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Over the same things
Time passes always the same ways
Each day dies welcoming anew
Empty words with pretenious actions
Fools masked seem wise
Grasp for air
Life isn't fair

Over the same things
Each word only stings
Take freedom with greed
Standstill as I run
Contraction of the lungs
Please just let me breathe
Over and over let me leave

I tried to give this a sense of meaning for you... but you can have at it... again...

Thanks! Im not too good at poetry, so the review is very helpful. I will try and improve the piece.
i dont quite understand your story lines there kind of weird.
Although the rhyming is great.
it flows well as well.
Keep writing if its what you love writing is always great :)
