Cold Soldier

Cold Soldier

A Poem by Alfred Kukitz
"

A scare of Nothingness

"

Cold Soldier

Sending ‘my regards’ to myself
A written letter of nil meaning
Words stuck on the pitchfork of time
I gather round all the silences
To hear the scariest sound, nothing
Screams permeate my lips
Yet I bear the armament like a cold soul soldier.

'Cold Soldier'
Alfred Kukutz,
"Sending 'my regards' to myself" I was trying to make sense of the emptiness this poem seems to portray. A human being actually caries a world within them. But at the same time part of this inner being can be emotional fatigue, discouragement, disillusionment. So from some experience or a 'soldier's' point of view Maybe their is the assimilation of working through the effects of experience on the battle field. If not just life or personal affliction of life. Good poem. A jigsaw puzzle for me.
Blessings,
Kathy
