Tombstone of Time

Tombstone of Time

A Poem by Alfred Kukitz
"

Legacy of a Wanderer

"

Tombstone of Time

There were sounds of the everlasting

mixing with aural whispers

He drifted into the echo

as wonder gave him the grip to hold

and upon the Tombstone of Time

They wrote "He is of bliss and wonder"!

There is a time theme in many of your writes lately, Al. Such a deep write....like a person getting older and looking back through the time tunnel at all that has passed. I liked it. Lydi**

Thanks Sami!

Wagons seem to circle around a mystic camp and when the fire starts the words just come forth.

Love the sound of this poem- the “aural” intensity. This is a wanderer who has found his life’s timeless treasure despite time, age, obstacles-“as wonder gave him the grip to hold”. Yes, “not all who wander are lost”, and a tombstone need not be the end of the journey. Bravo Alfred.

' He drifted into the echo ~ ~ as wonder gave .. '

Whatever and wherever Time lays it's head, certain people can feel the greatest emotion overtaking them and meaning more than life can ever promise. Perhaps?
Read three times, not truly sure of what you're saying but, this is what i think, feel.

What a title and what a poem. I don't think readers understand how powerful and deep this is. I love it. Very mystic and touching.
