flower girl, ring bearerA Poem by Alfred Kukitzmy chance to wedFlower Girl, Ring Bearer do dahs around the imagination, sifting sugar flies that danced in mother’s cake the clock read all of seven years old now it’s the funniest thing that now you just don’t know when it will show afterward we gathered around a cool evening sky a few sporadic chirps from birds bedding down earth as usual hung in the air or was it the universe we tried to feel earth rotation but it was seemingly lost because of the speed of human consciousness at times the turtle’s mind appealed to me. tomorrow Lilly and i would be respective flower girl and ring bearer i was tempted to ask for her hand in marriage you see, I HAD THE RINGS! but declined, our age, it seemed, wouldn’t make the difference. © 2018 Alfred Kukitz |
