the biology of eternity

the biology of eternity

A Poem by Alfred Kukitz
"

a yogic sense of destiny

"

the biology of eternity

i lay among the willows of my life
feeling a sense of my mortality
and yet know the eternalness of my soul.

willows are very interesting trees, as are these words. deep and thought-provoking. eternity is an awfully long time after all.

"So our human life but dies down to its root, and still puts forth its green blade to eternity." - Thoreau

great food for thought Al. thanks for sharing ... )

thanks emma!

willows meant something good. there are a few outside my door. i love the way they curve into themselves. i’m not waiting for death but with heart disease, diabetes my chances are better.

a part of us will always live on...even mortality has extra innings.

Depends on the mood, the emotion, perhaps? There's darkness in your words and yet.. a veil across the now and when. 'I lay among the willows of my life' seems almost as if waiting for death .. but feeling there is more, far more Again, who knows, only the writer?.
