HelloA Poem by Alfred Kukitzan evening of funHello When did all the memories of your friends gather round the living room and say hello? Whitewashed into your own oblivion Smiles gathered around the fire place A rum drink here, a Chimay there, laughs lacking sobriety, You hear the album play One pill makes you larger, one pill makes you smaller, One pill makes you no more. The melody played on. The linchpin ghost mumbles the essence of all reality into nothingness You smile, teeth show the decay of your soul, You meander into useless dialect with some imaginary being There you stay, shouldering nonsense into the ladder of your dreams © 2017 Alfred KukitzReviews
