Salt of Vigor

Salt of Vigor

A Poem by Alfred Kukitz
"

wake up

"

Salt of Vigor

"no nap today"

My cells seem to lose there way
fatigue strengthens its hold
as my body sinks further into the malaise of weakness
My pit follows every course
meandering up the steep walls my own tired hell
Wrestle as I do, the twisted knot of pretzel land,
disallows my salt of vigor.

Wow! Alfred, I have known that kind of extreme fatigue, and it's not pleasant at all. Too tired to hold the remote, to tired to push the button to change the channel. Hopefully this is not autobiographical. My fatigue got alot better after a couple of cardiac stents, hehe. Back to the poem, very very well done. I could remember the fatigue, the fatigue of depression, the fatigue of heart disease, your fine poem describes it perfectly!
