Let the Wallow Drown Me

Let the Wallow Drown Me

A Poem by Alfred Kukitz
"

adrift in woe

"

Let the Wallow Drown Me

What say you that I breach my own capacity?
Sliver in the words that lock me from graces realm
Hinder foresight all the while hindsight tastes the goodies in me
The granite of stone cold somber nakedness crushes any intent
Wasted, unwanted, let the wallow drown me in the sadness of tears.

Such a dark write from you, Al. We are often our own worst critics. We second guess ourselves and we are not as kind to ourselves as we are to others. Learning to be a best friend to yourself is something we all need to do. I hope life is kinder to you today, Al. Lydi**
