One Less Friend

One Less Friend

I can't imagine missing him those years of his thin & bone
Gait struggling by footsteps, a smile from our remembered past
Our words slip into a youth like the glory of friendship past
We seem him in his struggle yet love him all in a moment's breath
Those lasting years I'll miss as he has fallen from his crest
Now........one less friend to bless me with his gift.

Thanks Jacob!

I'm talking to the sky now thinking he's there, somewhere, with Joe, another friend, who died far to early.

Regards,
Al

it is so sad when we lose close friends...for different reasons---i have lost several...and still can't believe they are gone...all way too young.
