Grins on the Lookout

Grins on the Lookout

A Poem by Alfred Kukitz
"

she's up in the tree

"

Grins on the Lookout

Oh how I see you dauntingly climbing the tallest oaks with your tomboy grin
My eyes fell flatly on the soul which contained you
I surrendered to all whims rendering a wish that you would fall gently
into the branches of my extended arms and
kiss this boy in me and tell me how you saw my grin.

I'm often wanting MORE when I finish a very short poem like this. But I'm amazed at how complete your story is, in so few words! You've painted a vivid story packed with action & feeling. I wanted to be this lady in the tree *wink! wink!* (((HUGS)))

Why so few reviews, I dunno.. people have absolutely no taste!

' My eyes fell flatly on the soul which contained you .. '

There's such linguistic style to your words, meanings metaphorical, meter fine, a gently put fantasy in a way.. enjoyable, charming..

Thank E!

I'm 68 and my imagination seems to grow shorter with age.

awwwwwwwwwww what a soft mix of fantasy and love on several levels ... especially like the ideas of the soul containing the person and suddenly being the tree that loves and catches with branches .. really fun, creative, engaging write .. and so short!
