In a Sesame of friendship
I feel a small tickle of child
harboring myself into moment
I lick the lollipop of youth
Oh........the ache of adulthood coming
I hold on to a twinge of wholeness in youth
as the seas roar I fall picking up the man
I know only to well.
I'll forever be a child at heart, so you're going to have to pry that lollipop from my hands! Lol, what a sweet, sweet line!
The ache of adulthood is a painful one, watching our children grow, never realizing, we are too.
I really love your closure here..."I fall picking up the man I know only too well". Such poignancy throughout, and I adore the title. I love it, Alfred!
"I lick the lollipop of youth" such a delightful line! Yes, no matter how we try, we can not hold back time. Little signs of aging creep into our days and when we look in the mirror, it often shocks us. Still, we keep on keepin' on....keeping the inner child happy. Lydi**
