DID YOU HEAR WHAT WAS SAID

DID YOU HEAR WHAT WAS SAID

A Poem by Alfred Kukitz
"

a wild horses mind episode

"

DID YOU HEAR WHAT WAS SAID?

An anthem mumbled, people stopped, sipped from teacups,
A transparent blanket covered the remaining crowd
As he hurled himself around another corner of the universe
EVERYONE..........wondered what he said.

Laughter began as a small clatter,
Roared waited its turn in the stalls of yesterday
Finally a deep sigh as millions forgave themselves
for the rights of asunder.

Coming from his head was more
the kind of more that added to the confusion
Did Babel visit the mind of the writer
or was insanity just around the corner
He mused remembering the terrific lines
of verse that gathered in his soul
Now he was outside, a biosphere swallowing him whole
What could he tell his Writer's Cafe friends?
Bye bye stood in the breach!
