Reckless Gait

I am of tears and shadows in reckoning with myself,

i see my blindness trying to kiss the sky,

of all that is real i’m dumbfounded

merrily in sadness i try for what is real

there are stories on my breast of tears and shadows

the gloom of appeal stamped on consciousness

my body lost in the embodiment of sleep

i wander…………………….here…………there

aimlessly walking to my own despair.

Fell today, incurred pain, at least a 5 or 6 pain on the pain scale. 10 the worst. Talk about my poem entertaining vision. Wow.......but it still hurts!

Oh, reckoning with oneself is the most difficult evaluation we ever have to make. We see ourselves as older, more feeble, more unworthy than others see us. Then we go to sleep.....and we dream. better to stay in the fantasies...reality is just too harsh these days...and the hangover is very uncomfortable and sad.
