A Poem by Alfred Kukitz
"

We are wearing red shirts for the fallen at Good Shepherd rehab facility. I volunteer there.

"

On the 22 daily suicides
of Afghan & Iraqi Vets

Eyes draw down on the end of day
Another miracle as seems to happen everyday
with breath of silver, thoughts of gold,
I recall the enchantment on the I Ching (book of chance) scroll
Twenty two, twenty two, drawn on red's color
One sees them all in the mind' eye trance
If only a prayer could reach out to there breath.

Met a couple of vets today. One of the guys is handing out the shirts trying to raise awareness.

Thanks for you support!

Regards,
Al

it is a really good thing that you do here...volunteering like you do..

yes, we say prayers that the survivors will keep surviving...past the Wars....as they fight their own Wars within themselves.
