A Battle Fought in Loss

A Battle Fought in Loss

A Poem by Alfred Kukitz
"

we are overrun!

"

A Battle Fought in Loss

Storms of another nation show rage inside the rain
Like soul, it pours out in size,
Hear the toll of surrender as living hell
You captured yourself on a stolen plain
Weapons gone eerie
Death one breath away
Wait......wait in boredom's thick syrup
till life drains its blood and guts on the morning
of your end.

This weighs heavily, and goes deep. Each single line has impact, like te relentlessness of war itself. Just incredible.

There is so much turmoil within -- and we ignore it, and it will have its way.
