In the Hours Long Journey Home

W. A. I. T. E. D.

Waited by the water of silence

Waited by breezes blowing through tree

Waited with honor for your hand in mine

The last hour of our time sifting eternal

like a prison term of loneliness and sorrow

I waited for you

I waited for a smile across journey’s end

In the hours long journey home.

Nice to see you again Sami! Waiting seems to be my habit of mourning.

Patience is a virtue even for lovers whose love is tested in and out. In our sadness, there could be some madness of expectations beyond our control. But the relief is needed for keeping sanity. An excellent romantic write....:))))

Waiting
- the excitement of expectation...
the quiet warmth of shared moments,
the fear of being parted - left behind...
the hurt of alone,
the need of wanting the pain and frustrations over,
the guilt of unreasoning self-anger because
it became all about YOU
and THAT hurts most of all.

well spoken Al.

this is quite sad, and quite beautiful...a haunting quality about the memories and how we wait to meet again.
