The Politics of the Nose

The Politics of the Nose

A Poem by Alfred Kukitz
"

Jackson & Honey on a walk

"

The Politics of the Nose

Here in the middle leashes in hand
Two noses smell the lay of the land
Mixing sides as each follows the scent
I get entangled by whims of the nose
I turn to see the eyes of a doe
Intense staring follows us close
The magic rendered in the movement of her skin
While my furry friends enjoy the smells of the day.

Sounds like you had a happy father. I can feel the kid excitement inside as furry eight legs begin to rise.

Thanks for your visit Valentine!

Regards,
Al

Hi Jacob,

Dogs add a flavor to life that grows in sweetness. Hopefully they will live long, Jackson's will be 6 in July, Honey is 2.

Thanks guy!

My dad took us when he was training his hunting dogs, this reminded me so much of him. Thank you for that memory. Valentine

An everyday affair, sometimes twice, the excitement prior to the walk is fun to watch. All of a sudden they are outside, noses lean heavily toward the Earth.

Thank you all for being here with me.

Al

It with our sense the world is given life. Mathematics and microscopes reveal entirely different dimensions. And I remember all is relative. With poetry beauty is shared through every dimension. Beautiful write. Al:)

i agree with lydi...it is most often like the dogs walk the people...

i like how you are so cognizant of what is going on around you...perhaps provoked by the curiosity of the pups...

I have often watched people walking their dogs and thought the dogs are really walking the people! They stop where they want and wander in any direction they choose pulling the person at the end of their leash. Nice imagery in this one, Al. I liked it. Lydi**
