Clowning in Darkness

Clowning in Darkness

A Poem by Alfred Kukitz
"

Clowning in Darkness

You could walk me to sleep in your blindness
Happily the shades embrace my fumbling gait
I seem to fall but never land
Is this the lack of gravity
Or did I suspect some levity in the air?

Hi Doodley,

I have diabetes, sometimes when I'm walking I feel like I have some stranger's legs, occasionally though I feel my own. Thanks guy!

Regards,
Al

When i read this poem it makes me think of how we try to boost ourselves out of the lowest points in our lives by embracing humour and frivolity. To make light of any situation we may find ourselves in.

It is an extremely difficult thing to manage, particularly at times of immense grief and sadness. Sometimes a lighthearted laugh at one's self and predicament can at least put a smile on our face. At least for a while.

Another thoughtful poem, Alfred. Nice work.

Yes,most days I find levity, it helps me up when I fall down.

Thanks Jacob!

it's the levity in the air?

i find this love...we walk blindly, we stumble and we try to land in the right place.
