it just got by me

A Morsel of Solitude

The day met itself with the sunrise
I reached for its silence but missed my mark
Without panic I settled into the noise
that was my mind.
The light passed by magically
as my awareness stood alone with itself
Night came, sifting into my soul's horizon
calmly giving me a morsel of its own solitude.

do you think calmly should be replaced with generously? Thanks for the visit.

in the day of our minds, there is so much going on..it can get overwhelming...but we get that reprieve at night...in the silence and solitude our mind can catch up to itself.
