Nothing Said

Nothing Said

A Poem by Alfred Kukitz

Nothing Said

Once you opened your mouth
all the flies came out
followed by a kitchen sink,
meat loaf, apple pie, egg nog.
The sky filled with your rhetoric
transforming clouds into dark matter
soon everyone's nothing had gone away
There was so much to do with nothing said.
