In the Now of Self

In the Now of Self

In the Now of Self

Crystals knocking on a door of fame

You see his stature, you see his name

Crowds gather in an applause of rings

Smiles turn to white teeth meaning his fame is in

In alleyways across Earth's tundra

Blunder, famine, corruption fill the wonder

In poses known as Eskimos

The chill of stillness finds its home.

Across the middle age of life's breathing cycle

Air fills lungs with screeching tires

To hustle the signposts of relative success

The lie fills our pockets with green bread dread

I found the animal that hides in me

A natural habit in ecology's tree

My steps lead me to songs of Earth

As I live in the now of self.
