He’s Gone to Nowhere

A Poem by Alfred Kukitz
"

youth of yester

"

He’s Gone to Nowhere

I shall say the youth has left me

took the 5 o’clock train to nowhere

I heard from him on occasion that he

was finding his way to to himself

when he finally arrived on a 7 o’clock morning

I saw him for the first time anew

like an old man in his sixties

awaiting that morning dew.

Ya that's it! I must be of a sixties mind set.

Thanks Jacob!

reminds me of Talking Heads' "we're on the road to nowhere"

destination: getting old...and leaving that youth at some station way back when.
