Arms Surrounding a Huge Air

Arms Surrounding a Huge Air

A Poem by Alfred Kukitz
"

Dan dies

Arms Surrounding a Huge Air

Arms surrounding a huge air
A giant falls in autumn season
His spiritual breath calls him Dan
Dan, my friend, a fellow poet
spreads across the universe
In his everywhere ness I can feel him
walking among tall birches,
sifting into the gala affairs of remembrance
seeing loved ones, embracing them in smiles,
finding us all so in love with his soul, his spirit,
So much that we see him everyday in skies
Skies that fill us with him as arms surround a huge air.

Hi Sam,
The elder years certainly possess a certain sadness that reveal a grown man's tears. So good to hear from you. Thank you for your kindness.

Regards,
Al

Wow. So sorry for the loss. This is so touching and a great tribute to him. Keep his memory alive....

The services were held yesterday, Monday, at a military cemetery. Afterward a luncheon where I met some of Dan's friends. I felt like he was almost there with us. These people made the day joyous.

Thanks for stopping by.

Regards,
Al

wow, this is such sadness, brilliantly portrayed...the reader feels the spirit of your friend...hugging the air, that was once breathed by Dan...arms around the memory of him.
