Swallowed Whole

Swallowed Whole

Swallowed Whole

Autumn greets me as the morning rises.
Between the soft tiptoes of slippers
I calmly walk to a breakfast horizon
Here in the middle of my retired tradition
I mark the five years of rhyming time

How the morning walks with us
The dew settling on green grass yards
Trees lifting their sights to the heavens
Paws and feet seem to know the way
The forest swallows us in seasonal leaves

Thank you Sam. It is a splendid time where the only fool among everything is me.

And for our stranger another Thank You for visiting.

Regards,
Al

Quiet mornings are a special time, and but for no mention of coffee, yours seems even more so. The scene you present is splendid.

Unfortunately the forest behind my house is filled with hickory nut trees whose leaves look bad. However their are others and I appreciate those.

Thank you Nisreen & Thomas for your visit.

Regards,
Al

Each season really does touch the soul
I can see how autumn can swallow us whole
It is just simply enchanting
