An Evening of Midnights

An Evening of Midnights

A Poem by Alfred Kukitz
"

she's the one

"

An Evening of Midnights

An Evening of Midnights

finally in your arms

I’ve searched the world for you

and found you in a next door charm

In return you’ve given me the breath

of love’s gain.

Lay down with me in Joy

Lay down with me in Sorrow

we may consume love’s destiny

in all the stars above.

The woman would be completely out of mind if she denies such a lucrative proposition.

Smart title! The title pulled me in and still has my imagination. Love so close but hidden from sight! My Momma used to say, "if it was a snake it would have biten you. "

to find love again under that beautiful moonlight--sometimes it is right in front of us all along...and we don't notice...but once we do----the moon smiles.

Midnight has become a constant companion, one that readily gives and takes only what is offered; one that allows us to enjoy the stars in solitude... well-done, my friend
