Long After the Vows Sang

Long After the Vows Sang

A Poem by Alfred Kukitz
"

I do

"

Long After the Vows Sang

When the words have left the altar
As tired feet scurry off to bed
A marriage of sound blends dream & words
Resting upon a grace of what was said
When we return to wakeful states
The music finds ourselves in the love
That keeps us deep.

Love that knows to renew itself. Splendid.

I surprised myself FT. I really don't understand mind processes. However I am pleased with the results. Thanks for stopping by!

it's what brings two people together; it's why they marry; and it's what keeps that relationship humming, long after the wedding gay... great job, Al

I like this one too. I was on a small role when the poem popped into my head. Thank you both for your visit and kind words.

Regards,
Al

I concur..beautifully said..when the peach-plum blush fades off the wedding tie, love is what holds everything together. :)))

i really like this....after the words, the love is what must keep us together....words only echo for so long, actions last.
