Sweetness

Sweetness

A Poem by Alfred Kukitz
"

youth memory

"

Sweetness

A low hum of childhood crosses
the boundary of my mind.
I feel escape in the innocence of memory
I nearly shed a tear of joyousness
Caught like a twinkle in a midsummer dream
The shine of a former self is sweetness indeed.

Little is big my friend only we didn't know it. Often times a song or a thought draws me into those days where I linger, in retirement you can do that, and watch that day pass. Thanks Jacob!

i miss those childhood days...and those of us in our generation actually got to be kids....we played outside all day...we were innocent...we got excited when the parents said, we are going out to eat...

the little things mattered....
