On December’s Eve

On December’s Eve

A Poem by Alfred Kukitz
"

chance & horizon

"

On December’s Eve

On December’s eve I remember a chance,

a chance of voice, calling my name.

I surrendered to the quizzical nature of that moment,

smiling I gazed into the horizon,

once there,

I saw the magic you brought to bear on my wayward soul.

I kissed you in thank you’s,

always grateful that my horizon of you was truly remarkable.

Such beauty in words and photo... I really loved the last two lines, Al, as there is such a warmth and brightness to them...

It's odd the way things happen. I was doodling in Photoshop when it struck me, flowed out of me like water, like ABC's. I really like this one. It's a non concrete way of speaking. Thanks Jacob?

Regards,
Al

you brought warmth to that December eve.
