Lighting Awe

Lighting Awe

A Poem by Alfred Kukitz
"

Internal lighting

"

Lighting Awe

Time steps

Follow noon

A sun's apex

without a moon

The shadow's angle

hard to perceive

Wait till dark

with no shadow indeed

Move backwards in your thrill

your moving ahead

Time will not still

But hover a moment

Over the sinking sky

Light your awe

Stay for a while.

i like how the play of words unfolds, much like how nature unfolds, slow and steady at times, and yet, with nature, you really never know....the sense of wonder in this poem stills the heart

Time moves like a bullet. I'm 5 years into retirement in September. I can't believe it's moving fast.

I like this piece became it came from nowhere. Thanks for visiting!

Regards,
Al

i wish time would slow down a bit...sure like to stay with that awe for awhile...but the sky seems to sink faster each day as we grow older.
