Universal Man

Universal Man

A Poem by Alfred Kukitz
"

could it be everyman?

"

Universal Man

There was always some kind of murmur around his eyes.

HIs style with Hmm had a pleasant underbelly

He seemed to glide in his movement

Tell him a joke and before long

you would be in stitches laughing your

way into lunacy.

He was the kind of man you could count on

whether it was danger, kindness or friendship.

He was invented by a writer who believed in

the universal man.

The man who knows no bounds

Who believes countries are myths

who finds in himself a boundless energy

in mind, soul, spirit and heart.

He is Our Man!

The use of man is generic which means it includes women.

with the pen we may create perfection--it's in the poet's eye...invented by us as if we are Dr. Frankenstein's----

but not creating monsters...just feeling the lunacy of making words.
