Muse at the Core

Often times when the lure of words cajole me,

I bend to their wishes like a servant of the mind

when my soul itches I send mind to give it time.

as the fingers discover the key board,

as the ink swells the words,

I am bitten by the verbs that tell a tale of my words.

often laughter spells my song

but sometimes misery comes along

I have often deluded myself with thinking

but my muse knows the core as the heart of thinking
