Witness

Witness

A Poem by Alfred Kukitz
"

the effect of poetry

"

After Witnessing “Eye of the Needle”

she moved in midair

the gesticulations of her body

caused a spiral intonation

grace could be said only in the eye’s view

even an idiot could be awed

the poet though would melt into his awe

carried somewhere only his soul knows.

I can feel the awareness of your words coming to life, and yes, the remarkable ripples that poetry pours into us. Such a mystical glimpse into thoughts and more.

Oh, yes, this is so very true. The poet looks at life...and words....just a little differently than other people do. The connotations of the soul are mixed with the definitions in the dictionary. Melting into poetry...a lovely concept. I liked this a lot. Lydi**

Beautiful and true words we poets
And poetess seem
to go to another world
when we write or at any time.

the poet though would melt into his awe
carried somewhere only his soul knows.

Thank you for sharing.

God bless Benita
