Witness

Witness

A Poem by Alfred Kukitz
"

the effect of poetry

"

After Witnessing “Eye of the Needle”

she moved in midair

the gesticulations of her body

caused a spiral intonation

grace could be said only in the eye’s view

even an idiot could be awed

the poet though would melt into his awe

carried somewhere only his soul knows.

'.. .. somewhere only his soul knows. '

There are moments, events, people and words that leave permanent and welcome joy and warmth. Seems your poem is almost a prayer of thanks.

A lovely little piece of writing, Al.
I do find there is a difference between the effect poetry has on us poetic types and the "less artistically inclined" Haha.

A very nice poem.
