Nearest Smile 500 MilesA Poem by Alfred Kukitza long walk to happinessNearest Smile 500 Miles You bled on Tuesday’s wound in your heart, cuddled in past memories you wondered where it all went. you promised yourself to find it and walk a 100 miles. The walk started at midday, frowns everywhere along the highway, cars passing in shrill response to your condition, the wind seemingly drifting a few feet in front of you you thirst but lack water the sign ahead reads Nearest Smile 500 miles with withered feet moving a mile a day. © 2015 Alfred KukitzReviews
