Soul & Me

Soul & Me

A Poem by Alfred Kukitz
"

looking for nowhere

"
Soul & Me

I could sift through my eyeballs,
maybe find a lie or two,
Wonder, always wonder, if the
eyes were the doorway to the soul,
Where was the soul's geographic
location?

I soon couldn't find it,
Became interested in throwing my body away,
Damn.......if you can't find soul what good
is it anyway.

I look tomorrow, find some soul,
Invite it for diner, waltz it around
the neighborhood.

It's somewhere in there, maybe it's just a feeling that comes out on special occasions, like love?
