A Silent Absence

A Silent Absence

A Poem by Alfred Kukitz
"

world's kneeling

"

A Silent Absence

Inside the costume of surrender

I lay down my sword & humor for you.

I shall not cry, kill or laugh,

I have only now understood the

implications of these matters.

So the smile fades

and the wounds heal,

I kneel in the silent absence of the real.

I've always wished I could be in the company of a most brilliant poet...and I am!

There was a few moments yesterday where I felt like a poetry factory. I churned out three pieces and they all satisfied me immediately.

Thanks Jacob for your encouragement!

Regards,
Al
