The Mail on Tuesday

You deliver a sample of your pride in a colorful white envelope.

Postage seem to lack the proper address

you loving me in an altar of yesterdays

I took your mailing and readdressed these yesterdays

I am no longer the man you once reached by letter

the penmanship seemed blurred in unreadable syllables

so I sharpened my pencil,

took to cursive,

amicably told you I moved to a letter with an unknown address.

Incredible writing always leaves me in awe, just like the beauty of art. This is truly one of your best, Al. It simply leaps off the screen and knocks your reader into next tuesday!

Wow, did I say wow?

"moved to a letter with an unknown address"

wow...and the metaphor here is so "cursively" followed through...i decipher these words...and the meaning is stamped into my brain.
