Poetry in a Linear World

In the window of words
He saw a poem drive by,
He wanted to tag along,
But was late in his stride.
He ran down the road,
His heart beating fast,
To see if the poem hard managed
to manifest.
But the linear verbiage
was all over his verse
The verbiage of course
had finalized the verse.

Linear vs circular. What a wonderful concept and exercise. You show the worst of both. A thinker indeed...:).....

It does Ana as this poem came to me. It more a comment on linear thinking vs poetic thought. One is speech the other voice.

So true Jacob but I see PBS News Hour exposing viewers to the arts including poetry. It leads to a better understanding of thought.

I thought the poem had to find you, instead of the other way.
I think if you chase it, it loses the meaning and feeling.

many don't even chase after the poem...many just see it pass by from their linear, black and white window...and draw the shade because what they might see if they really looked hard will scare them...
