Day One of Me

Day One of Me

A Poem by Alfred Kukitz
"

Metaphysics of earth & tree

"

Day One of Me

In the hazy shadow of winter,
Leaf less trees bare their soul to me.
I'm wrapped around a mood of blues
I'm reaching for something in the trees
That can make my soul renewed.
I kiss the branch, I listen to its silence,
The wood itself wraps me around its tomorrow
I'm wooed in the marrow,
feeling an Eden in day one of me.
