In the Many Gifts

In the Many Gifts

A Poem by Alfred Kukitz

In the Many Gifts

In the heaven of my emptiness

a soul mitigates it losses to love

underneath the loneliness of my bravado

I seek the solace of life’s other dreams

a child lives in me,

I do seek his kind,

a song carries my heart,

in a corner of an afternoon

I hear all the sweet sounds

of fellow poets in a silent whisper of prose.

Merry Christmas to All & to All a Good Night!

Poetry fills the emptiness, and warms the soul... Merry back at you, Alfred.

Good I wanted each and everyone of you to know the child lives in everyone of you. The little rascal wants you to know I'll be good because you told me.

this is so nice...and reminds me of christmases when i was young....
i didn't write poetry then, but i think i felt it inside me....just couldn't form the words yet...
but all my fellow poets helped mold my words, inspire my words....

and thank all of you, too.
