Cupid’s Reach

Cupid’s Reach

A Poem by Alfred Kukitz
"

love strikes

"

Cupid’s Reach

she felt a daze hit the core of her imagination

the smell of juniper, lemon and dandelion

blended across her olfactory skyline

the drunk of nature captured her bosom

idyllic muses crossed the mind’s antipode

her new consciousness delighted and frightened

a potpourri of feelings, sensations and sights,

kept her toes free & unbalanced.

what was going on? she queried herself.

Cupid’s reach stood in the midst of her womanhood.

A huge illusion when reality is a steady diet.

cleverly romantic....that first time we feel love and just don't know what hit us.
