THE UNKNOWN MAN

THE UNKNOWN MAN

A Poem by Alfred Kukitz
"

lost self

"

THE UNKNOWN MAN

he felt like brick in his doctrines

never quite sure of his cortical itch

a mind forgotten by simile,

passion lost in metaphor,

he wanted to scream,

command the ego into suffocation

but he lingered in nothingness,

eyes unfocused,

unsure of the visible & invisible

the champion was somewhere out there

waiting, forever waiting,

until the elegy of an unknown man was read.

Yes Avinash. I sensed it too. I like when my mind travels below ordinary consciousness. Thank you!

Passion lost in metaphor, this can be interpreted in many ways. There is a mystical element to above words.

Thanks Robert..........I feel sometimes the depth of words rising to my brow. This is one such case.

A strong piece of writing with an ending that ties it all together. Great title too.

I thought of my father when I wrote it. He tried some creative outlet with home movies but it did not sustain him. Thanks for your visit. I love looking at your picture.

How very saddening in many ways...but "nothingness" can itself illuminate...surprising how many are found in that state...wonderful expression here dear heart xo
