Day One

Day One

A Poem by Alfred Kukitz
"

the first day of earth

"
Still..........among rocks

lasting 5,000 eras.

Silence humming

           in the stone's ear.

Movement tipped.............a wink of horizon,

Day one on Earth as stillness moved none.

Yes I wish my presence there was real. Often time when photographing landscapes I try to imagine all the influences the location experienced in some random fashion and culminating in the moment I'm capturing it. Thank you all for your encouraging words. I do feel reading other works here help my writing.

As if the earth opened her eyes and stood in perfect stillness taking it all in. I feel that I should whisper my response.

i liked this it was a good short read, worth way more than what it took to read it. I really liked this

i like how you describe it...and it makes me wish i had been there to actually see it...just imagine how interesting it would have been to see it all created day by day....wow...

i like the phrase, "as stillness moved none"---
