A Walk to Nowhere

Morning's amble with the dogs

"


Walking to our nowhere,
The sun's lift gazes on our eyes,
Step one as old as time,
Step two we rise.

What follows is daylight's dream,
A nocturnal blessing for now's future.

We lived a thousand lives in Earth's motion,
Now we pass the sign post and catch the blur.

Thanks Jacob! I read in a Unquiet Grave by Pope,
"So slow the unprofitable Moments roll
That lock up all the Functions of my soul;
That keep me from Myself"

Perhaps it wasn't a waking dream after all but a fundamental touch with a deeper reality.

yes, where are we going really?
is there a destination, or do we just keep walking to nowhere?

we rise, we fall, we walk, we crawl....

what is the future?

as I was reading this I had Talking Heads in my head..."we're on the road to nowhere"
