![]() A River of YouthA Poem by Alfred Kukitz![]() It brings back memories![]() We moseyed on down to the river The sound of current filling our ears The wetness gathered around our imaginations, Strokes in the swimming act soon became A means of prayer We felt the water tumble like a barrel down a hill We stayed submerged for minutes while the earth seemed to move away When we rose from the shallow depths of river We were taken by a faint din Our surroundings became an Eden We knew our youth would begin. © 2014 Alfred KukitzReviews
