On a Poet's Watch

On a Poet's Watch

A Poem by Alfred Kukitz
"

Someone everyone is getting to know.

"

What can a fool tell you
In a supporting lie footnote?
Hi! I am nobody in cloth,
Hi! I am nobody in skin,
and my soul has begun
the long hunt of hurting.

If you have followed me in the past
Or say you just read one or two
I must say you can swallow a lie
in very timely tunes.

I have heard the stammer,
I shrink in my grin
Soul left my footsteps on hold as
the fool was wise to be a fool again!
