Jane

A Poem by Alfred Kukitz
"

My First Love

"
She was there with a face in a captured dream.
The closer I came the more she pulled
with eyes unknown to me.
Deeper in time I heard myself say,
Languishing on beauty's doorstep
I entered the depth of her face.

The insistence of clouds gathered round us.
I know it was her for she hinted that way.
Am I to think this is the beginning of love
or a striking resemblance to illusion?
I returned to her doorstep and pulled her into me,
Her energy informed me that she wanted me.

Briana, the Irish lass! Always good to feel the warm of your eyes looking upon my work. Thank you!

A beautiful telling of the electric pull that true love brings. I could really feel the emotional impact of the narration. The feelings portrayed were vivid in a way that I could feel the words and imagine the seen. Thank you for sharing and keep up the good work.

I relate and felt this...thinking of my first girlfriend, Cindy....that pull that was just "there"!

it took awhile to realize it...maybe too long.
